American Punch: The trusted leader among punch & die manufacturers
Communication, confidence and trust – They come with every tool from American Punch.
American Punch Company was founded by Bill Olson and his son Bob in 1990. Both had worked in punch and die manufacturing for decades. Bill served as the president and CEO of
Cleveland Steel Tool from 1969 until his retirement 1986. Bob started his career at the same company in 1977 – first as a draftsman, then moving into sales, and eventually becoming Vice President of Engineering
Our goal has always been to guarantee product quality and consistency. To achieve that, we invested in new, state-of-the-art equipment, developed new methods and improved on old
manufacturing processes from the start. And our growth has been substantial.
In 1995, we moved into a larger facility, more than quadrupling our capacity. In 2006, we started the process of designing and building a custom manufacturing factory,
which would increase our capacity again and allow room for the most advanced equipment. The new building was completed in June of 2008. In September of that same year, American Punch Company acquired
Delta Tech of Mentor, Ohio. The acquisition expanded our product line to included Stamping and Roll forming components, as well as Cut-off and notching dies and Plastic Extrusion dies.
As part of our master plan to always be improving, we became ISO 9001-2008 certified in 2010. Our goal in this certification was to demonstrate to our customers,
as well as to the industry, how committed we are to providing the
best possible tooling. In fact, our manufacturing processes are constantly evolving into the most efficient and cost effective methods.
American Punch Company believes the best way of demonstrating our value is to always keep our promises. We pledge that we will deliver quality with dedication to your schedule. We only use
the highest quality certified steel purchased from companies that comply with all ISO standards. To assure durability, we offer a selection a coatings, including titanium and chromium nitrate. In addition, because we
are centrally located in Cleveland, Ohio, we have fast access to the nation’s main transportation arteries. This means we are able to ship
stock punches, dies and
shear blades from our extensive inventory the day the
order is placed. Non-stock sizes of standard tooling ship within 48 hours.
